For an extra layer of flavor, try adding 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter. If using frozen cranberries, there is no need to thaw them before adding them to the batter. To prevent the cranberries from sinking to the bottom of the loaf, toss them with a tablespoon of flour before adding them to the batter. This bread is delicious served warm with a pat of butter or a dollop of whipped cream.
