For the best flavor, use ripe but firm avocados. To reduce the heat, remove the seeds and membranes from the jalapeño peppers before chopping. If you don't have fresh lime juice, bottled lime juice can be used, but fresh is highly recommended for the best flavor. Guacamole is best served fresh. If making ahead, add an extra squeeze of lime juice and press plastic wrap directly onto the surface to minimize browning.
